CABLE CAR & PINNACLE CENTRE
DESIGN REVEAL COMING 2016

PINNACLE ZONE FINALISED

On Nov 4th 2015 the 17 month process to adjust the boundary was complete. Our mission to protect the skyline by marrying up the planning scheme with community sentiment was a success, spurring our project team into hyperdrive!

NEW SHAREHOLDERS

In mid 2015 MWCC switched from a fully-financed foreign deal to a home-grown capital raise. We're delighted to announce a raft of new Tasmanian investors who bought into $1M worth of shares in just 30 days.

PROGRESS ON TRACK

We used the 17 months of waiting for the boundary adjustment to take a heap of community feedback into account. Now our design team is working hard to refine WHAT the proposal will look like. Stay tuned for an exciting reveal in 2016!

JOURNEY & Destination

Silently rise 1270 metres above Tasmania's premier city. Soak in the scenery no matter your ability. Breathe crisp clean air. Skim clouds. Play in fresh snow. Discover new trails. Create memories. Join the mountain's story.

CLEANER, SMARTER.

SWAP CARBON FOR HYDRO

1100 tonnes of carbon monoxide are emitted each and every year just to haul 430,000 people to the summit and back again. Our proposal can move up to 3.3 million people a year safelyand quietly, using 4 gigawatt hours of Tasmania's clean energy.

TAXPAYER TO TOURIST

SWITCH FUNDING MODEL

Ongoing conservation and Park Management isn't cheap. Since 1904, every Tasmanian has paid for the mountain's upkeep whilst tourists continue to visit for free.  When tourists are willing to pay for the experience, couldn't taxes be better spent elsewhere?

280 jobs

FROM CONSTRUCTION TO OPERATION & BEYOND

Over and above the 200 construction jobs during an 18 month installation phase, MWCC is projected to employ 80+ Tasmanians in full-time equivalent roles across hospitality, interpretation, engineering, adventure tourism + more!

$50+ MILLION

TOTAL PROJECT COST DELIVERY VALUE

Representing one of the largest private capital injections in Tasmania's tourism history, MWCC is definitely not cutting corners when it comes to delivering a holistic eco-tourism attraction. We don't just want to 'build' it; we can build it well.

$24m REVENUE

INJECTED INTO LOCAL ECONOMY EVERY YEAR

Attracting wealth from outside Tasmania is key to improving the State's health and well-being, particularly during our slower winter months. From distributing wages, taxes and dividends in Tasmania, MWCC will be a responsible corporate citizen.
