Over 2000 tonnes of carbon monoxide are emitted each and every year to haul 800,000+ people up a dead-end road to the summit and back. Rather than relying on park visitors having to burn imported foreign fuels, our proposal can effortlessly move the bulk of visitors safely and quietly, using Tasmania's clean, green energy, whilst significantly reducing road traffic.

SWITCHING THE PARK FUNDING MODEL
Ongoing Park conservation and management isn't cheap. Since 1904, Tasmanians have paid for the mountain's upkeep whilst tourists have enjoyed visiting for free. Our proposal allows willing tourists to pay for a spectacular, memorable experience, which can inject much needed funding into Park upkeep, sustainably and without forcing road users to pay for park entry.
