HOW MUCH WILL TICKETS COST?

Tasmanians will receive a 50% discount. Family, concession, one-way and season-pass options will give all visitors a choice of fares, and the road remains free.

Detailed answer:

Local pricing is designed to make the cableway useful for Tasmanians as well as visitors. Residents will be able to receive the discount using a Tasmanian driver licence or student identification. Family and concession fares will help people plan a shared outing, while one-way tickets and season passes suit walkers, riders and regular mountain users.

The full fare list and ticket options will be published after project approval, and before bookings open.

A cableway fare pays for the journey; whilst entry to the Pinnacle Centre and its public facilities will be free. People who drive or walk to the summit can enjoy the public lookouts, shelter and visitor spaces without buying a cableway ticket.
