MOUNTAIN REVIEW NOW OPEN
The Tasmanian Government has commenced a holistic review of how the mountain is managed, valued and used. This review is a great way to tell the Government how important it is to you and your family that our cable car project is approved and built to sustainably address many of the existing issues facing the mountain, now and into the future.
There are two ways you can make your submission. Simply fill in the Review Survey (which doesn’t ask specifically about our proposal, but provides opportunity to write your ideas in), and/or write your own and cover the issues that matter most to you. Submissions close DECEMBER 4 - Make sure you have your say!
HELPFUL SURVEY TIPS
Support our Proposal and need help to know where to say this in the survey? Keep an eye out for these:
When asked about PINNACLE facilities, use the ‘OTHER’ response to specify your support for the MWCC cable car. As an optional extra, you can simply write ‘Everything as proposed by the MWCC is appropriate’
When asked about THE SPRINGS facilities, use the ‘OPTIONAL' textbox to write that visitor centres should be located where visitors want to be and go - the summit!
When asked about ACCESS POINTS, you can use the ‘optional’ textbox to suggest that the most ideal access point into the mountain would be the Base Station location as proposed by MWCC. This location is very central to Hobart and many of the most popular walking and mountain bike trailheads.
After responding to the 3 value statements, use the optional text box to write how what you currently or wish to value most in the future. If you believe the MWCC proposal is the most appropriate solution for the mountain, write this and why.
When asked about a future vision for the Park, emphasis how well you believe the MWCC solution provides a balanced outcome for both sustainable visitor management and conservation, and can increase awareness and appreciation of the mountain’s environmental values.

Write a Letter to the Editor in The Mercury Newpaper voicing your support.
Display a Car Sticker for your rear window from the passionate Local Support Community Group; Hobart Cable Car Supporters.

Call into your favourite talkback radio station and air your support to Tasmania!
